Well the new Starbucks branding is out in the wild. It’s really the ‘anti’ Starbucks since it doesn’t even carry the name but to me it still carries a brand identity that they’ve been instilling in us since they started popping one up on every street corner.
What I love about this cup is how simple it is. Their white cup is just the same, a large mermaid symbol in green and white on a white cup. No other markings. Super simple, super clean and super recognizable.
What are your thoughts on the new logo? I know they did this so they can brand other items beyond coffee, but why not just drop the ‘verbage’ of coffee off of the logo?

I had a weird dream last night. I woke up in a world ran by vampires with a collective mind. Only it had the vibe of a bad made for TV movie. I think the best part was I remember as I woke up I looked up and in the ceiling were florescent lights. Maybe the start to an experiment gone wrong.
If it had continued to play out maybe it was in a warehouse engineered to see how a vampire virus reacts. The vampires get smart and break out, or something happens, power outage and releases the locks on the facilities, they break out and start ravaging the local town. A 28 Days later for vampires. How cool would that be?
